Hi, I'm Dariusz Kieliszek

I am a Polish illustrator and concept artist. My primary areas of expertise are horror and dark fantasy illustration.

My artistic inspiration comes from horror films, ancient myths and legends, folklore whispers, and the cosmic terror of H.P. Lovecraft's writings. Classic painting techniques, 20th-century fantasy art, and dystopian surrealism have shaped my unique visual language, allowing me to transform dark dreams into vivid imagery.

Over the years, I've crafted artwork across numerous creative landscapes. From intricate role-playing game cards like Pathfinder, Kryptig and Keshanar to graphic novel characters, my work explores the boundaries between reality and imagination. I’ve also worked on music album covers and fantasy books.

Professional recognition has been a rewarding part of my journey. Publications in respected art magazines like Blood of Gods and ImagineFX, alongside winning prestigious art challenges, such as winning the "Character Design challenge!" and the "Wacom and The Brief art challenge". But beyond personal achievements, I'm passionate about sharing knowledge, teaching art classes that help emerging artists discover their own creative voices.

 MODULE 3 & 4 Inking techniques

This is where we get deep into the craft of inking. You'll learn how to hatch, cast shadows, control lineweight, and work with notan and edges — the fundamental tools that separate flat drawings from illustrations with real depth and atmosphere. We'll study the masters — Moebius, Toppi, the Old Masters — and then apply everything we learn directly to objects and studies, so it sticks.

Then in Module 4, we put it all together. You'll sketch out ideas, plan your light and shadow, and build a complete ink illustration from start to finish. This is where everything clicks — and you walk away with a finished piece in the dark fantasy style.

This module opens up a whole new way of seeing. Working on toned paper means you're no longer fighting against a blank white page — you start with a middle tone already there, and learn to carve out light and shadow from it. We'll go through the technique step by step, applying it first to a sphere, then to organic shapes, and finally to a full figure study. By the end, you'll have a completely new tool in your arsenal.

Then we bring it all home. You'll sketch your ideas, plan your lighting, and execute a complete toned paper illustration from beginning to end — applying everything you've built across the course into one final, polished piece.
