INTRODUCTION

You’ll get to know me, my story, my creative journey, and the inspirations that shaped my style. You'll also get an overview of the course structure and the role of stylization and transformation in fantasy anatomy, setting the tone for what’s to come.

Introduction to Stylized Anatomy

introduces core concepts like shape language, using fears (phobias) as design tools, and exploring cosmic horror in character creation. This module lays the foundation for transforming anatomical studies into emotionally driven designs. You'll also get essential Photoshop tips to support your digital workflow.

Basic Anatomy

Covers essential figure structure. You'll begin with a basic mannequin overview and learn how to add anatomical features. With assignments focused on gesture, studying from references, and analyzing masterworks, you'll build a solid understanding of anatomy fundamentals and how to study them effectively.

Stylization of Anatomy

Takes what you've learned and applies it to stylized, expressive characters. You’ll explore how to stylize proportions, use shape language effectively, and draw from both human and animal anatomy. Assignments will push you to sketch creatively and apply stylization techniques with intention.

Transforming Anatomy

Dives into advanced character design through transformation—adding grotesque, eerie, or otherworldly features. You'll explore the types of transformations, how to draw all kinds of forms on a body part, and learn how to push your creativity beyond the limits of realism. This section is filled with creative prompts to challenge your imagination.

Final Project

Brings everything together in a step-by-step assignment where you’ll conceptualize, sketch, and paint a final dark fantasy illustration. From gathering references to the finished piece, you’ll apply your knowledge in a fully guided capstone project, with a timelapse for added inspiration.
